Description: The University of Haifa, as part of its sustainability vision, established in January 2022 the Sustainability Council. The role of the council is to discuss fundamental policy questions regarding sustainability at the university, to encourage and foster sustainability in academic and administrative units, to disseminate the sustainability vision among all university units including staff, to propose ideas for sustainability programs and projects, and to receive reports on the activities of university units in the field of sustainability. Description: On August 13, 2023, A training session was held for Younes & Soraya Nazarian Library employees on the library’s accessibility procedure and service for people with disabilities. The training is based on the procedure 28.11 from the List of university procedures (attached), which deals with “accessible service in the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Library”. The session was delivered by Dr. Yael Shraga Roitman, an occupational therapist, licensed service accessibility professional, lecturer and researcher at Ono Academic College, on behalf of the Accessibility and Learning Disabilities Department, Dean of Students, University of Haifa. Description: University of Haifa uses the services of the two of most renowned companies in Israel in the field of drinking water solutions “Mayim4u – health in every sip” and “Tami 4” (by Strauss). “Mayim4u” specializes on water devices – water coolers, filters, purifiers, reverse osmosis and other drinking solutions. “Tami 4” (by Strauss) distributes water bars and dispencers.
