University Impact Ranking by Times Higher Education
Results for 2024

In 2024 the University of Haifa was for the first time ranked in the Top 100 (95th place) universities worldwide! Among the other universities ranked in the first 100 are such reputable institutions as MIT and the Sorbonne.

University of Haifa’s continuous rise in the Impact Ranking reached another important milestone in 2024 as for the first time Haifa made it to the Top 100 (95th place)! worldwide by the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, a global university ranking which measures the success of academic institutions in delivering the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Among the other universities ranked in the first 100 are such reputable institutions as MIT and the Sorbonne.

This is particularly impressive in light of the fact that the THE Impact Ranking becomes more competitive every year as many more universities are joining (this year the number of submissions increased to 2100, an increase of about 400 from last year). The University of Haifa also maintained its leadership at the national level and remains # 1 in sustainability in Israel.

The concept of promoting its social, economic and environmental impact is part of the strategic plan of the University of Haifa. This perception is reflected in the fact that this year we competed for all 17 goals of sustainable development (the minimum for submission is four SDGs). Haifa is among the few universities in the world that submitted for all 17 goals!
