Description: The University of Haifa, as part of its sustainability vision, established in January 2022 the Sustainability Council. The role of the council is to discuss fundamental policy questions regarding sustainability at the university, to encourage and foster sustainability in academic and administrative units, to disseminate the sustainability vision among all university units including staff, to propose ideas for sustainability programs and projects, and to receive reports on the activities of university units in the field of sustainability. To this end, the President and Rector of the University created the council which includes all deans or their representatives, student representatives, heads of departments or their representatives in administration (Human Resources, Engineering Infrastructure and Operations Security, Library, Research Authority, Computing Center, and Student Dean’s Office) and is headed by the director of Division of Sustainability and Innovation.
