Description: The university of Haifa is a leader in environmental responsibility, both within
campus and outside. This plan addresses legislative compliance in relation to campus
operations, climate action, and environmental impact. The university of Haifa is subject to all environmental legislation, including but not
limited to, those relating to environmental planning, land and water management.
The University is Increasing awareness of environmental responsibility among staff,
students and visitors to the University. Maintain the University grounds in an
environmentally sensitive way, having regard to the protection of local flora and
fauna. Taking into account environmental factors in new build projects, while
working on improvement of current buildings to ensure energy efficiency and
conservation.
