Description

Being a mixed-city with a truly diverse student population, the University of Haifa is aware of the importance of establishing special programs dedicated to fostering young people to build sustainable shared society. Within the University’s Dean of Students Office, The Community Engagement Unit was established in recent years. It operates several programs aimed at meeting mixed society challenges. Among them Co-entrepreneurship – Acre program, were Jewish and Arab students, residents of Acre, work together to map out challenges related to Jewish-Arab relations in a mixed city ; Jewish-Arab Leadership , a unique program for Jewish and Arab students at the University of Haifa ; Druze Community Leadership – community projects operating in Druze communities in the Golan Heights, Galilee and mount Carmel ; and many others.
