Description
The Leon Charney School of Marine Sciences together with the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Haifa Innovation Labs; HIL) won a grant from the Israel Innovation Authority to operate a training program for veterans and reservists. The program will deal with such fields as the Blue economy, the Marine environment and the Coastal environment, by studying theoretical and practical experience in enterprise development.
The program will include a training phase and an acceleration phase that will enable the integration of a diverse audience from among the students and the general public. The request was led by Elik Almog, the incoming director of HIL, and Dr. Yaron Bogin, Head of blue technologies and sustainable agriculture sector at the School of Marine Sciences. This is HIL’s second win of a grant from the Innovation Authority, after the launch of the ‘Entrepreneurship Challenge’ program last year.
