The Community Engagement Unit of the Dean of Students Office held an emotional graduation ceremony for the ’People’s University’ program. This initiative offers introductory courses of medicine, law, and psychology for marginalized populations from the north as a first opportunity to participate in higher education and gain practical and essential knowledge in an academic environment. The program offers participants practical and essential knowledge within an academic setting, exposes them to the student experience, and fosters dialogue between population groups that rarely interact in Israel.
