First grade readiness group led by communication clinicians and experts in the diagnosis and treatment of learning disabilities

Description: The purpose of the group is to prepare kindergarten children for the landmarking transition to the first grade and ensure their optimal integration within the school. During the sessions, the emphasis will be placed on the development of higher language and discourse skills, the development of verbal abstraction skills, the improvement of organization, planning and independence, and the improvement of the children’s pre-reading-writing skills, as well as the development of parents’ awareness of the changing needs of their children as they enter the first grade. The group program includes 13 children’s meetings, 2 parents’ meetings, and a lecture. The meetings will take place starting on 16.04.2023 until the end of June 2023, on Sundays between the hours of 15.30-16.30.
