The trend towards open information is growing, allowing for free of charge and unrestricted access to research worldwide, increased citations, and collaboration. UofH Younes and Soraya Nazarian Library have signed agreements with publishers to facilitate open access publishing for researchers, ensuring accessibility for the public. There are two main routes: Gold Open Access, where the final version of the article is published openly and accessible, and Green Open Access, where a non-final version is deposited and made accessible after an embargo period.
