Food on Campus
SDG Highlights
Description
Students and staff hunger interventions
Provide interventions to target hunger among students and staff.
After a series of student protests concerning the cost of living in the country, we established the students Union Coffee house complex – which is a central food complex on campus, in order to provide a solution in the food section, at reasonable and subsidized prices.
In the complex you can find a wide variety of foods and drinks, from sandwiches and snacks to hot meals including pizzas, pastas, salads and various pastries. The dining area includes a clean and orderly seating area where students can comfortably eat at any given time during activity hours.
Sustainable food choices on campus
Provide sustainable food choices for all on campus, including vegetarian and vegan food.
This is a varied self-service buffet: white or whole rice, couscous, boiled vegetables, soybeans, beans in tomato sauce, peas, sweet potato slices and much more. Accompanied, free of charge, by a plate of salads, bread and water. Simple, healthy, delicious, cheap and satisfying food. A long-standing restaurant on campus of home-cooked food prepared daily from local, fresh products.
Healthy and affordable food choices
Provide healthy and affordable food choices for all on campus.
Aroma’s factory complex sends new, high-quality produce to its branches daily. Self-production allows the restaurant its innovation and flexibility, control over the quality and freshness of the raw materials.
Customers’ orders in the branches are prepared on the spot according to demand, to guarantee freshness and quality. As part of the importance of smart nutrition, they were the first to publish the nutritional values of each dish on the menu, the website and in the app.
