The Younes and Soraya Nazarian Library at the University of Haifa takes another important step in its support of the open information vision and contributes its Index to Hebrew Periodicals (IHP) thesaurus to all Alma Users Community. The move enriches CZ (Community Zone) and establishes the extensive Israeli librarian activity in Hebrew and Arabic, in the international arena. The Index originally came to fill the gap of the lack of a database for publications in Hebrew, and to make it accessible to the community that publishes and speaks Hebrew, and later also in Arabic.

Over 40 years after the foundation of the Index, and its becoming reputable research tool in the Israeli academic landscape, the library is keen to share it with the community. The contribution is seen as a necessary move in the information age we all stepped in.
